Milo's childhood wasn't the greatest, with his dad never being there and his mother never paying any attention to him as she'd rather hang out with her friends or party. In result, he acted out as a kid. Wanting praise and attention by any adult in his life he did anything to be noticed. Bullying and manipulating others as well as placing the blame on others for deeds of his doing, Milo learned, is a faster way of getting what he wanted. A target of his bullying was Fritz Everhart, a german exchange student who liked theater as much as Milo and seemed more talented. Feeling threatened by Fritz's talent at the one thing he has going for him, Fritz becomes his main target for bullying out of envy and spite. It isn't until one big blunder where Milo is caught trying to sabotage Fritz's rehersal, resulting in his suspension.
A decade later Milo wallows in his own self pity, lonely, and haven't made anything of his life at that point. He begins working at The Hot Mic to keep himself busy. Fritz also had worked at The Hot Mic shortly after graduation for a couple of years, so he frequents at the karaoke bar to visit friends. They had a short lived, awkward, reunion in which Milo doesn't want to impose on Fritz's space as he feels guilty about their past. Fritz sees that Milo tries not make him uncomfortable and respects his space, so he takes initiative and goes up to him to make slight amends. They shake hands and go on their ways, without the awkwardness of being near eachother now.
Some other time shortly after, Milo confides in Fritz about being lonely and having no idea how to properly make friends, in which Fritz obliges to help him because Milo has seemed to genuinely have changed for the better. This is Milo in the current day, somewhat-friends with Fritz and rehabilitating into society as a changed man trying to make friends.
I love him very very much and have contributed to most of his development over the past 2 years at this point just by liking him so much :o)
